OK. Let’s see some other methods …
4. Link building
This is a very powerful and very important way to build your credibility. Getting a link or a recommendation from a well-respected industry expert or another already credible blogger will make you look a LOT more credible.
Using an impressive blogroll in your sidebar – as a connection to other well-respected industry experts or credible bloggers – will also help you to earn some additional credibility.
5. Regularity
Each new well-written and value-packed content masterpiece will help you to build your credibility. Brick by brick. I know, regularly updating your blog is the very essence of blogging, but is also a very effective method to increase your credibility and to establish trust. If you want to earn their trust, show them that you are trustworthy and you really care. If you want to prove your value, … offer them value continuously and regularly.
6. Transparency and availability
Having your contact information – address, phone number, etc – clearly displayed on your blog (in your header, sidebar, footer, etc) is a MUST. And providing a nice, clear contact page is also a MUST. When you have launched your blog, you have become a public online entity. A public person who has nothing to hide. A trustworthy expert who is always ready to help, and is always approachable and accessible. Never forget this golden rule if you are trying to earn money with a blog or to make a living with blogging!
Also, if you are planning to publish user-created content or various content pieces coming from different contributors, guest bloggers, etc, you’ll always have to provide a clearly visible author name.
7. Language
People don’t trust what they don’t understand. Be yourself and write like you talk, but be polite, concise, readable, and free of typos. And more importantly: try to use the same language your readers do …
8. CONTENT!
And as I already said – yes, this is indeed one of my fixations -, the best way to establish trust, is by providing unique, valuable content!
Conclusion
The good news: blogs are are a great way to build trust.
The bad news: trust takes years to build, seconds to break and forever to repair.
If you want to build a credible and trusted blog you'll have to pay a great attention to the above elements and trust-factors!
And that's it my friends!
If you have any comments, further questions or update requests please don't hesitate to react!
