How Vloggers Make Money
The main goal of all vloggers is first to build up a large follower base that will watch their new videos, and through that, steady income will be generated.
How do Vloggers make their money? Do they just put in all their time, energy, and resources into making useful videos, only to upload them on YouTube for free? Literally, they upload these videos to platforms like YouTube, Facebook, but how do they make their money?
There are three main ways bloggers monetize their videos:
- Advertising: Platforms like YouTube offers the option to include advertisements in the uploaded video. These bloggers earn a proportion of the revenue when viewers watch or click on the adverts displayed on their videos.
- Sponsorship: In this kind of monetization, big businesses offer bloggers large sums of money to make mention of their brand, or review their products in the videos. It’s not that easy to get this kind, most notably the newbie, because it will require you to have thousands or even millions of subscribers.
- Affiliate marketing: Most video bloggers make money by promoting other people’s products and services, with the intention of making a certain percentage of the total cost of the product or paid services. Whenever a viewer buys something or subscribes to a paid service via the links provided in the description of the videos, the vloggers earn money.
