Let's start with the obvious question: why let users to filter posts and pages on your Wordpress site?
Well, the answer is also very obvious ... Because, your ultimate goal is to make your site as user-friendly as possible.
By default, Wordpress comes with tags and categories in order to ...
- allow you to sort your content into topics
- help users to easily find any topic-related content.
But there's a "small" problem ... Users can only view one tag, category, or archive page at a time and it will only show one post type (post, page, attachment, etc)!
Hence the logical question: wouldn't be nice if you could use a truly user-friendly solution allowing users to filter content in more than one category or tag? And how about allowing users to view posts, pages, and other custom posts types at the same time?
It sounds interesting, isn't it?
Believe me, this kind of advanced filtering can be extremely useful for your users when you have a lot of content and/or several sub-topics, and you want readers to filter it according to their own preferences ...
This is why I've decided to create this short tutorial where I will show you how to easily let users filter posts and pages on your Wordpress website.
