Link Out Only to Related Blogs

Several veteran bloggers believe that, by embedding external quality links in their blog posts, readers may be lured away from their own blogs and they may not probably come back to read posts. This is a wrong blogging idea which shouldn’t be adopted by any reasonable blogger.

When you begin linking out to authority blogs in your industry, you’re sending a signal to Google that you have some quality content and you’re creating bonds with other niche-related sites. So, Google and other major search engines will begin to improve your blog in search results.

In order to keep driving targeted visitors to your site, you must continue to link out only to niche-related blogs. To make the most of this, always link out to the niche-related authority sites.

Avoid Linking to the Private Blogging Platforms

Maintain a strategic distance from two-way backlinks, and when you are connecting to any domain, ensure it's anything but a private blogging platform.

Having been acquainted with the latest Google Penguin updates, it’s been found that such private blogging platforms are being brought down by Google and their links devalued.

Abstain from Having an Excessive Number of Outbound Links

Having a few links pointing out to external domains is good, yet having an excessive number of outbound links can be irritating from the point of view of your readers.

Attempt to focus more on building internal links (some portion of Wikipedia's SEO Tactic!), and link out only to particular sites that are related to your specialty.

Connect to a fewer external domains and only to those that are related to your niche. There are certain pages that connect to, for example, "The Top 100 Blogs", "The Top 50 Business Forums", or to such other pages, yet without having ranking issues in spite of using tons of outbound links.

However, in common posts, we want to ensure that we create a better reading experience for our readers, so we don’t connect or link out to more than necessary.

Above all, ensure your content is useful and engaging, and deal seriously in On-Page Optimization.

Hey Janet,

Thanks for stopping by and kudos for reading this training resource! Did you know that many struggling veteran bloggers out there keep struggling for months and even years, yet, without ranking their blogs in the search? Why wouldn't they try figuring out the cause of this? They were wrongly taught or misled on what to do with a blog to make it go viral.

Building outbound links will help tremendously in making your blog receive higher rankings on search engine result pages (SERPs).

Thanks for your comment, Janet! You're highly cherished.

Very informative and useful content. Thank you for sharing this with us. I got one question- how do we find authorative and high quality blogs/posts to create outbound links. It might be a silly question but I’m only a beginner. Thanks in advance

Thanks for stopping by, anand1209! It's great to meet someone like you who has determined to rock the online world with building links. The truth is that without links, there's no SEO, and an excellent way to find the right blogs to link out to is to use the CheckPageRank tool whose details are displayed in the screenshot below.

What are the things to look into when it comes to finding out if a blog is an authority one?

1. Check the page authority
2. Check the domain authority
3. Check the Trust score
4. Check the PR score (From Very Strong & above is a good factor to determine whether it's an authority blog or not)

Thanks for your visit!
