Once you decide on what your offer will be, you need to go into your Autoresponder account and create your first message.

Before creating your first message, you'll need to already have set up a campaign or "list" inside your autoresponder account to go along with the specific Opt-In box that you plan to put on your site.

Every autoresponder service has a slightly different way of setting up lists/campaigns/messages, etc inside the account, so this training is not meant to be a training on specifically what you need to do to get your campaign ready inside your autoresponder.

But once your list is set up inside your autoresponder, you'll need to create your first message.

This is the very first message that your subscriber will receive after they put their email into the Opt-In box on your site. So it can simply be a "Welcome" type of email. If you're using a lead magnet (free giveaway), that could also be attached to the welcome email if it's something that can be attached like a PDF.

Ultimately, you will most likely have a whole series of email messages created and set to go out on a regular basis to your subscribers.

To get started, however, you should just get that very first message created.

This is also a good time to start thinking about what your ongoing messages are going to say. Once you start building a list, you need to communicate with them. You will need to decide what you will say and with what frequency. Best to plan that out ahead of time so you're not completely clueless as to what to send them after people start to subscribe.
