OK, you have your picture all fixed up, you have added elements to it and now you need to group it all to keep it as one whole picture.

So what you need to do is select all the elements, either by clicking all of the while pressing the shift key. An easier way is going to the upper to left hand corner of your presentation page and dragging your mouse across ALL of the elements while holding the left hand button of the mouse

Not all the same tools are available in Paint.
I like using Paint when I need to get right down into pixel per pixel fixing and matching colors.
PowerPoint works on the whole picture for a quick and easy to use tool.
