I have only had one person who did not "appreciate" my feedback. It was in the SiteFeedback area. In her response to my feedback, she venomously defended each of the actionable items I suggested for improvement and called me "confused". But there will always be one and that is fine. If you do receive feedback which you do not agree with, let it go. Just be professional and say, "Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate you taking time to review my site." Nothing else needs to be said, because after all, it is your site and you have total control and decision-making power over your site.

You know, I've been thinking along the same lines as Lb830, but maybe that is wrong. We are so afraid of hurting people's feelings, but perhaps the majority of the people on WA want constructive criticism and aren't going to feel hurt at all. I don't know why we assume we're going to hurt their feelings. I've seen no evidence of that mentality. Maybe we aren't as objective as we think.

I loathe giving feedback... I personally want to know where I need to improve. However, most people don't want that. They want to be told they are doing absolutely wonderful and you can't help them to do any better. I really have to sit and carefully think about each and every word and even when I do that it seems I hurt someones feelings. I just sum it up to I can't win. I tell them what I think and then tell them to ask the community because my opinion is just that.. my opinion.
I absolutely hate hurting other peoples feelings and tend to forget that they really don't want to know what I think.

Thanks for the training. You seem to have been busy today now that you can post training. The other ones are great(even though I didn't comment) but I do like this one the most. I do what you say with the sandwich feedback but yes alot of people don't do it which is a ashame. When I use the site feedback most of the time people will just say great website. Keep it up. But that's not what I'm requesting. I can just tell myself that. It's great for motivation but bottom line is you need feedback. Good feedback that points out your mistakes. If you don't get that kind of feedback, how are you going to improve your business? That's why most of us is here. To create a business not get a compliments on a website that won't flourish in its current state.
