• Copy and paste the URL of the YouTube video into the Embed Code Generator.
  • Select the default size for the video. I left my default size at 640 x 360 – an aspect ratio of 16:9.
  • Put check marks in the appropriate boxes.
  • Click the “Preview & Generate Code” button.

The Preview lets you see what the video cover image will look like. It will also have a round play button – as opposed to the rectangular button on the IFRAME version.

Hey James,

You make me love my Thrive Themes even more now. I had no idea that placing my videos between the Thrive Themes div tags as they suggested I do, would immediately help to optimize my site in there themes. Cool... THANK YOU!

Really good info. I normally only put 1 video per post, but I do have a few that I have embedded more. I will have to keep an eye on loading speed, and incorporate this idea if needed. Thanks for sharing. Tom

Thank you for this great training! I was wondering how to help my site speed and still keep the videos I wanted on my posts. This is what I needed to read today.
Best,
Alenka
