For my vegetable song example, the code generator gave me 2 codes:
THE FIRST CODE
The first code is unique to this specific vegetable song video – using the Video ID, RE5tvaveVak, in two places. In the WordPress post editor, in “Visual” mode, place the cursor at the spot where you want to add the code. Then, click on “Text” mode and paste the code. Switching back to “Visual” mode, the thumbnail image should be showing up exactly where you wanted it.
Do the same thing for any other videos added to the post.
THE SECOND CODE
The second code is generic and is only needed to be pasted once on each post where embedded videos are optimized. The YouTube Optimized Embed Code Generator says to place this code just prior to the closing </body> tag.
But, there is no </body> tag in the WordPress “Text” editor.
So, just place your cursor at the bottom of the post in “Visual”, switch to “Text” mode, and paste the code. Simple as that!
And, voilà! Everything is hunky dory.
A SUGGESTION
I advise using a test siterubix website to proof out this procedure. At least until you’re confident that you won’t screw up your precious and meticulously laid out money-making website.
For those of you who will never add more than a couple of videos per post, you are done.
But, if any of you are in the same position as I found myself in – drowning in a plethora of videos on my post, proceed to the next – and final – page of this training.
BTW, how do I bookmark again? LOL (seriously)
