What is moving or transferring a comment all about?

At the most basic level, a comment is a message left at the bottom of your posts by visitors, relating to what they have just read. This is part of the total process we call "engagement".

Engagement...of course, comes in many forms...social media interaction, email campaigns and...comments. Comments are important because among other things, it effects our page rankings. This is because it indicates interest and value the visitor places on the content and over all service we as webmasters have provided.

The more comments the better that post is going to rank for its keywords, all else being equal (even negative comments can be valuable, especially if the subject is a controversial one, although obviously here in the world of marketing, we mainly want positive ones).

Naturally then, comments are valuable to us. Discarding comments would be like tossing out things you need and use around your house, every time house cleaning is in order. It's just not something you want to do.

So, why would we ever need to move or transfer a comment?

Let's find out!

Well, I needed that! I have a section in my website where posts have to look similar in structure, this will do it. And I'm sure I'll be needing the comments trick in the future :)

It may not be something that comes up every day, but it can be a handy thing to know for very specific circumstances, such as I outlined in the introduction...thanks, Gregory! :)

I love the GIF!! I took liberty of stealing it. Lol. This is excellent training and in my early days of mentoring was a major issue at straightening out the website structure .

Thanks for great training, Chris!
