Alright, we used our lists to come up with some ideas of what our passion is. Now, let's ask ourselves some important questions as well.

1. If I didn't care what others thought, I would...

2. If I knew my parents would never know, I would...

3. If I knew I would do it right, I would...

I know! They are if statements. We really shouldn't use if statements. All three of these questions are related to a fear. Fear of not being liked, fear of our parents catching us and fear of making a mistake.

The goal of this step is to leap past the fear we have internally and evaluate what we truly want. Don't let fear of something slow you down.

I know it is not easy to get past fears, I struggle with that on a day to day basis, but I have also learned that when I push past my fears, I can accomplish a lot!

Here is an example of a fear I have been able to quiet down just a tiny itty bitty bit.... a fear of writing. I am not sure where in my past it came into play, but I do know it happened somewhere in junior or high school. I had it so bad when studying for my Master's Degree, I had to take a D because I couldn't get a paper done. Fear is a BAD thing.

With that being said, let's make some more lists. LOL I know, lists lists and more lists! Write down some answer's to the questions above. Are there any links between these things and the lists you made before?

You will find as you start to add to these lists, you have a lot of things in common throughout them. These are your passions. These are the things you need to work on and look at.

Thanks, Eden, for the useful tips to discover what motivates us. They can help us to become more self-aware and that is half of the battle.

When we search for our passion, we are really searching for our purpose in life, and as you say, conquering our fear or not letting fear get in the way is a vital part of it.

I have a slightly different take on "passion" which I convey on my WA blog - Do You Need Passion To Succeed.

Some passions are meant to be for us only to nurture our souls; and some passions are meant to be shared with the world, and, yes, maybe even become our livelihood or business. ~Jude

I like your train of thought on passion. I think the two go together well. There was so much different info on the web about it all.

Write about something that, at least, you are very interested in, otherwose you will get bored after a while.
Think about the heavyness of a repetitive activity you do not like very much....

Repetition is where I am at right now. I did learn though that if you use the Google Loop process I mentioned before, you slowly add onto your knowledge. You start out with content that is just a high overview of your topic. Then your next article you go a little deeper into the topic. Then the third one you go even deeper. This will help you to feel like as expert as well. It's not about what you put out there really, it is about what makes you feel good about putting out there.
