You can create different types of training within Wealthy Affiliate. These "types" include tutorial (text based) or video training. Depending on what type of training you are most comfortable with, you can choose accordingly.

How to Create Training

Step 1: Create New Training

To create a new training resource, you can either click the "Creating Training" button on themain Training page.

In the top right corner you will see a "Create New Training" button. Simply click that.

Or you can click the Actions => Create New Resource button when within ANY training resource (as shown below).

Step 2: Choose Resource Type

Upon clicking the the create training button, you will be presented with two training options, Tutorial or Video training. A tutorial is a text an image based training (like this one) and a video training resource is pretty self explanatory, a video that you have created teaching something.

Simply click the "image" of the type of training you want to create.

Step 3: Add the Training Details

Your next step is to enter the training resource details. These differ slightly based on the type of training resource that you create (tutorial versus video) so I will explain these independent of one another.

Tutorial Details

With a textual resource, you are required to create a title for the training resource, a description (I recommend at least 3 sentences), add a relevant image and add associated tags.

Your title should represent what your tutorial is about.

Your description should explain what your tutorial is going to talk about or explain.

Your image should be relevant to your training concept as this is the image that is posted beside your training throughout the Open Education Project.

Your tags should be the keywords associated with your training. This is also used for the search and each training page can have a maximum of 5 associated tags.

Video Settings

With a video resource, you are only required to create a title, upload the video and add some tags.

Your title should represent what your tutorial is about.

Your video upload should be maximum 50MB in size and should be either .flv or .mp4 format.

Your tags should be the keywords associated with your video. This is also used for the search and each training page can have a maximum of 5 associated tags.

Creating a Training Request

As mentioned in the last section, you can also create your training from a request. This goes through the same process where you can choose your type of training and you would build this out in the exact same way (based on the request criteria.
