What is Call to Action?

Call to action is something you provide to your visitors on your website which invite them to take any action.
That can be a read more, a text link, a product link, a button or a banner.
Anything what makes your visitor want to click.

Complete call to action (CTA) training

  1. Use of arrows
  2. Use of buttons, and banners
  3. Call to action in content
  4. Call to action in widgets
  5. Call to action in Footer
  6. Call to action in comments
  7. Call to action in popups
  8. Subscribe form CTA
  9. Galleries & Slider CTA
  10. Social Media CTA

1. Use of arrows

Well aimed arrows can bring the attention to something where you want your visitors to click on
I have used an arrow on my Complete Call to Action Training

How do you make them?

My excuse for my MS Paint program, as it is in Dutch, but I believe the buttons are at the same place in the English version.

  1. Open your arrow file in MS Paint and turn it the way you want
  2. extent the space and select the arrow and place it anywhere you want
  3. Use the "paste from" to add any picture
  4. Add appropriate text
  5. Result on my website
  6. You can download lots of arrows from Pixabay

Hey Loes,

You must be working with Windows10. My version of Paint on Windows7 doesn't have these goodies.

Are you sure? To bad. I had this in Windows 8 and XP already too. And yes, now in Windows 10. Time for an upgrade?
