4. Call to Action

Your call to action need to be like a loaded guns trigger. It needs to be like a $20 left on your pillow. It needs to be like a big old button you want to push....it needs to be tempting...OH YES...Tempting

It MUST be a big old button your visitors want and need and desire to press!

It has to really stand out and make people want to click it.

The very best calls to actions:

  • Avoid belittling contempt (Submit for example)
  • Are worded clearly
  • Are loaded with or hinting at a benefit.
  • Are crystal clear what happens after your visitor click the button.

5. Don't shout at your visitors.

I see this all the time!!!!!

See what I mean!!!!!!

I want to make a really important or critical point so I ad loads of exclamation marks!!!!!

Simply it just makes me look unprofessional and really....quite stupid.

6. One offer only

Don't confuse folk.

Keep your copy clean and to the point.

This landing page means you will get 10 free tips for online email marketing

Don't confuse visitors by having 2 or more other offers just in case that visitor doesn't want your email marketing tips.

Save those other offers for other landing pages.

Clear concise simple and keep irrelevant information off the page.

This landing page of yours has one mission. If there are images, text or offers that are not totally related to your mission of gaining conversions and prospects then get rid of it and clean up your space.

7. Mobile Optimization

Over 50% of your traffic will come via a mobile device.

If your landing page and website is not responsive and mobile friendly not only will Google punish you so will your visitors.

If its difficult and non responsive you can kiss goodbye this very minute to over 50% of possible conversions and sales...

Remember also that mobile phone users show different online behavior patterns to PC or tablet users. Think about different offers for mobile phone subscribers....demographics!

Great job buddy! I imagine you are referring to using hyperlinks from say your post to a page where a visitor can get specialized info regarding a product (capture /convert).

Hey Ed my friend
Thank you
Yes hyperlinks work well
Or you can have a separate page /domain entirely which acts as sales or capture funnel

Thanks for the info! But how exactly do you create a landing page?

You can add a page to your own website is easiest or have a specific url or new domain.
I have an indexed example on my site http://learnandmakemoneyonline.org/make-money-working-online-free-money-making-opportunity

Thanks. So because it is a page on your site it shows all the menu items. If it was its own URL it would not have the menu items (like you mention in the training), correct?

Are you using a plugin for the pop up that get's people's email addresses?

Even as a page on your own site you can have it nonindexed and remove menu. I use Sumome plugin linked with API to mailchimp . Very happy with the combo
