There are five cache plugins that you should consider adding to your site, out of the 900+ available.

What is the Speed of Your Website?

Your website may seem fast, but are you sure it is enough? It may surprise you to learn that 47% of Internet users expect websites to load in 2 seconds or less. 40% of Internet users will leave sites that load slower than 3 seconds.

It's true. You could lose 40% of your website traffic for each additional visitor. The 40% who leave your website will return to their home country, while 80% won't.

Let's suppose your website receives 1,000 unique visitors each week. Your conversion rate is 5% and your average order value for visitors is $100.

This is equivalent to $5K per week or $260,000 annually. It's not bad, is it?

If it takes longer than three seconds for your site to load, you will lose 40 percent of the traffic and make a whopping loss of $104,000.

Bottom line: Slow loading could cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars each year.

There are ways to speed up the load time of your page. How can you speed up your page load times? The answer is caching!

What is Caching?

Let's get started. Every time someone visits your website, a request is made to your server. These results are sent to the browser by your server.

Your website is the final product for the user. It includes headers, menus, images, and blog content.

Each request must be processed before the server can deliver the final page. This can vary depending on how complex your website is. This is where caching comes in.

Caching simply means that pages are viewed faster when cached.

What are the Benefits of a WordPress Caching Plugin?

A WordPress caching plugin will not allow you to request every element on your website each time someone visits it, even if they have seen it before.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for this tutorial. I have been using WP Rocket for quite some time now, and I’m very happy with it. I like how it does so much, it’s really an all in one plugin. It’s simple and easy for someone non-technical like me.

Hi Jenny
Do you have your site or sites hosted at siterubix?
If you do, are you able to say how much of a difference WP Rocket makes over the normal siterubix speeds, please?
:-)

Hi Richard,
I host my site here with WA, and have sitespeed set to extreme. My mobile speed is 98-99 and desktop is 100.
Individual pages are 98-99 for mobile and desktop 100.
Before WP rocket it was in the high 80’s for mobile.
