7. Not Taking Advantage of Social Media

Another very common content marketing mistake is not taking advantage of social media. It is another way you can reach out to a wide variety of audiences for free. But surprisingly, a lot of marketers make the mistake of not taking advantage of this medium.

Rather you should use it to propagate your content. Take advantage of scheduling tools to schedule posts and propagate them at the right time. If you are not present on any social media, it is time you get your hands fixed on one. And if you are not active, it is time you start looking at it.

Some of the most common are Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, etc

    8. Not diversifying your marketing strategy

We have seen the need to use SEO, email marketing, and social media. It is a pointer that you must avoid sticking to just one marketing strategy. This is one mistake a lot of content marketers make.

There are many channels and marketing strategies, including SMS, that you can use in today's marketing. The various social media platform differs in their strategies. It would be best if you were open to trying various strategies.

While I agree that you must not spread your resources to every strategy, you must try and find out the best set of strategies for your business.

      9. Not Proofreading your content.

It may sound irrelevant, but you cannot afford to neglect the power of proofreading your content. Some of your audience is very meticulous, and they consider your spelling errors, punctuations, and lots more.

To help correct your mistakes, take advantage of any of the software that checks grammar and plagiarism. They will check your errors and help you guide against plagiarised content.

In conclusion, if you have made or are making any of the mistakes above, as humans, we are bound to make mistakes. Now you know some of those things you should not do.

Hi Parameter, Thank you for this tutorial.

I must admit I find it difficult doing three websites per week for both my websites, so I try to do 1 per week for each site. Also, I haven't got to email marketing just yet. I suppose when I finish boot camp, I will have some spare time.
