How to Get Started with Email Marketing
Building your own email list does not have to be complicated.
Here are the steps to start email marketing.
- Understand what your audience wants - This requires you to know who you are targeting and what their problems are in the niche you chose
- Create something that your audience will give you their email address for - Create something of value to your target audience. You can create something yourself or leverage templates and DFY (Done-For-You) content.
- Choose your autoresponder - Decide which email marketing software you will use to help you execute your email marketing campaigns. An autoresponder will automatically send out the emails for you. A favorite autoresponder with affiliate marketers is Aweber.
- Create your opt-in page - This page allows you to tell your audience about your free offer and allows them to enter their email address to get your freebie. Most autoresponders allow you to build simple email opt-in forms to capture email addresses and automatically send emails afterward.
- Set up a series of emails to be sent - The beauty of using an autoresponder is that you can use email marketing software to send emails for you. When you are just getting started, you want to create and schedule your emails to go out once someone has submitted their email address to you.

Very effective training...Too many people shy away from email marketing when in reality it still is one of the most effective marketing methods and the ROI is better than most paid methods IMO...Of course, the process to build a list to mail to has to be implemented as well...Thanks, Kim!
