Some of the Useful Buttons on WP Edit

This is a screenshot of Wordpress Editor with WP Edit installed.

If you only have one row of buttons displayed, simply click on the Toolbar Toggle button as shown, and the other row will appear.

Here I will show you just a few examples of what you can do on WP Edit.

Creating a table

If you click on the button below the "Visual" tab you will be able to make a table - see the pink arrow. When you click there you will see this:

Simply click on however many cells, columns or rows you need in your table. The ones you click will turn blue, so you will be able to see what you have done.

Your table will appear on your post with faint lines, and you can click on each in turn to edit them. The lines will not be visible when you publish your post.

Two more examples

If you have the Pretty Link plugin installed, you can insert a Pretty Link directly on the Editor page by clicking on the yellow star, as shown above.

The Special Characters button allows you to insert all kinds of extras, including accents. Click on that button and you will see:

Just click on whichever one you need.

I enjoyed just playing around with the buttons to see what they would do. I hope you will too :)

Hi Chrissie, are the tables with this responsive?

I have used them to display products, and have a clickable link within them. Is that what you mean? :)

I mean when you view them on mobile do they shrink down the same way we need responsive themes, I've heard a lot of tables don't do that [and I don't have a mobile to check it!]

can you not check by reducing the size of your browser window - it isn't perfect but will show whether it is responsive.
or use one of the multiple test sites out there to emulate devices
glad you are happy with the plugin Chrissie

Yes, I just checked and they do shrink down on mobiles and are still legible :)

I use those tools but not so accurate from what I've seen, I've tested one of my sites on a friend's mobile but the screen tool gives a completely different result than in reality...
