SiteRubix has made starting your WordPress website pretty easy. In a twinkle of an eye, your website is set. You can start creating content. But there are some little settings you need to be aware of and make necessary changes. Good enough, these things are easy. They are plug and play items.

In this training I will take a look at 6 of this settings

1) Website Title and Tagline

As a new website, you need a name. The title is a name but different from your domain name. While your domain name cannot be changed, your title can always be changed. If you are hosting on SiteRubix, you would have chosen during the creation of your account. Else if you host your website will other hosting companies you will have the default WordPress Title.

The good news is both can be changed, go to your dashboard. Click on settings and general as shown below

On the general settings, three things are of high importance. They are site title, tagline, and also the timezone

If your title is still carrying My WordPress Website, here you can change it. It is good you consider something highly relevant to your business. Also do not forget to change the default tagline. Your Tagline is meant to shed a little light on what your business is all about. I always see as a summary of my business in less than five words.

The last thing on general is your timezone. Change it to something comfortable for your visitors, preferable that of your region. Also, your date and time format should be made friendly.
