2) Set Up your user Account
Let us go over to your user account and put your profile right. Go to user and click on your profile, see image below.
You can play around here, like me I will want to see how things appear. A good example is a visual editor, you can turn it off and on by simply clicking in the box. Also, you can enable and disable your keyboard short cut during comment moderation and either show or hide your toolbar. I advise you to show your toolbar. Lastly, you can edit your details and biographical information.
3) Default Post Setting
Go back to settings, but this time you will take a look at the writing tab. Three things are important here
- Default Post Format
- Default category
- Default editor
The default category will help you select the category where all your post will belong. The default post format affects how your post will look, I recommend leaving it at standard. The default editor can be used to select one of the classic or block editor.
If you are just setting up your WordPress website, your categories will most likely be empty. That means you don’t have any category set, so its time to create some categories. Click here to see how to create categories.
Now I believe you have created some categories, you can now return to settings, click on writing and select your category as you deem fit.
