6) Permalinks
It is a part of settings, many people getting this wrong. They allow WordPress to assign the default permalinks. It is not informative enough for users. But you can change it to something of your choice.
Go to settings and pick the permalink tab, Word Press has six permalink types, select the permalink that has post name.
The post name option tells users what your content is all about, but if you decide otherwise, you can go for other options. But I should mention that changing permalinks often is not a good SEO practice. So take the time and select one of your choices.
If you are just starting your blog, getting it right can be a little bit challenging. There are a lot of settings and the way out achieving them is multiple. I believe the above are primary.
