3 - Create Custom Segments
The custom segment is a Google Analytics feature that allows you to create segments of users’ data. This helps you track traffic by channel, demographics, the time spent on site, visits to specific pages, and many others.
You can find lots of details about views on your site through the custom segment. You can set a date range when creating custom segments to enable you to compile data over that time.
4 - Compare Page Performance and Conversions
Google Analytics grants you tools that enable you to receive detailed insights on a page by page basis. For instance, you can find out how a single page or group of pages is performing. Also, you can do the same for finding out the conversions from each individual page.
These insights will furnish you with data for improved decision-making for your website or blog. To get these details, navigate to Behavior and then Site Content before going to Landing Pages. You will need to adjust the time periods to reflect the duration that you want.
Let's say you want to compare the data over a quarter-by-quarter timeline. This will help you discover if there are performance improvements or declines. Whatever results you obtain from this, you will know the pages that require being attended to.
Most often, you will trace a decline in performance or conversion to a single page on your website. But if you notice that the decline results from multiple pages, then you may consider a technical solution.
