Ask them to whitelist your company: This process can become confusing as each mailing service has a different approach. In essence, what you're asking is for readers to consider your content important. This will increase the likelihood of your emails being delivered rather than going to spam.

Ask for connections on social media: This is an excellent opportunity to ask your readers to follow you on social media, since they are likely to be interested in what you have to share.

2. Subscribe to the Newsletter

What is it? Newsletters are regular email updates to your subscribers about any new information regarding your blog or brand.

It could also include:

  • Content added regularly.
  • Announcement of a new series or theme for blogging.

  • Tips, how-tos, and other useful information that can add value to the reader.

Segment: Segmenting is an important principle of email marketing. Segmentation can make your emails more effective, even newsletters. You can increase your open rate and click-through rates by sending variations to different segments of your email list. This leads to more pageviews, more conversions.

I have always struggled a little (ok a lot) when deciding what types of emails I should send out, when and why!
