The New Signals
Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) examines the page load time. The LCP measures how fast a page loads. Keep in mind that Google likes a webpage that loads fast. So to ensure a good user experience, the LCP should take place 2.5 seconds from the time the page starts to load.
In simpler words, it has to deal with what time it will take a webpage to load? This is the first metric on most Lighthouse reports.
Interactivity
The signal tested with this is the FID (First Input Delay). The FID measures the time from which users interact with a specific webpage (by clicking on the page link) to the time the browser responds to the interaction.
For a good user experience, the page’s FID shouldn’t be up to 100 milliseconds. In short, it implies how long will it take until you can click on the page element?
Visual Stability
The metrics tested with this is the CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift). It tests for the visual stability of your page element. The CLS of a page should be less than 0.1 for a good user experience.
This also involves testing for a page shift whenever a pop-up loads. If your page has this, you have failed the test.
