Use #hashtags in your tweets
If you're not used to using # (hashtags) - now is the time to start. Hashtags (#) are a way of categorizing your tweets.
People use the hashtag symbol # before relevant keywords. The example below is #FF which stands for 'Follow Friday' This is a popular tag that people use on Friday's to encourage people to follow some of their followers.
The two examples below #LeadChange and #quote are just two more examples
If you use # hashtags they are more likely to come up in a twitter search that someone does
Clicking on a hashtagged word in any message shows you all other tweets in that category.
You don't have to use a hashtag in every tweet but you should use them on a regular basis. You can use more than one hashtage though it's advised that you don't use more than three.
Finding out which hashtags people are using
If you want to find out hashtags are being used and whether or not they're popular you can search and find out. This is one I did on the word kindle. As you can see it's very popular.. You will also be able to see when the most recent tweets containing the keyword you're seaarching for were written.
.
If people have a schedule of Tweet tasks daily as you have laid out, I definitely think they will be able to spend 20 minutes during their day and forget about it (other than responding to @mentions).
An automation training piece would be a nice follow-up to this, using a service like Tweet Deck. It can become a quick "weekly" task if this is done correctly. :) Thanks again.
