10. Do A/B Testing for Your Headlines
A landing page's success or failure can be determined by its headline. Some people will simply not read the rest of your page if you choose the wrong approach. They will simply click the "back" button and then disappear forever.
Copyblogger reports that 8/10 of people will read headline copy. Only 2/10 will read the rest of the content. This is what you can think of. Imagine that eight out of ten people who visit your landing page might not read beyond your headline.
Try out variables like:
- Length
- Tone
- Statistics
- Use of numbers
Conclusion
While creating a pop-up on your site, remember to set a delay lest you annoy your readers and make them click away. Crafting a headline is also crucial for captivating readers. If it doesn’t sound interesting to them, they will return to the search. And this will lead to a higher bounce rate on your site.
