Having an online business without a domain or website? How true?

Apparently, I come across a lot of people proclaimed themselves as 'online expert' and try to 'convince' the public or those really interested in setting up online business but lack of knowledge on this areas.

They are over 'promised' on all the training they are going to give and even said that there is no need of a domain name and website to start an online business. Does this really make sense to you? As if people are telling you that you can open a shop doing business without having a valid trading license. If you are a sensible consumer you would have thought of this.

Unless this training is teaching you to use social media like Facebook to run your business. But, why I still need to pay thousands and thousand dollars to the 'expert' to learn Facebook?

Some provider even 'smarter' nowadays, they tend to record the 1st class lesson and used the video to conduct the next lessons without him physically carry out the lessons. All they need is switch on the video and let the facilitator to conduct the 'hands-on' class. They even promised to have lots of 'bonus' given away such as PLR articles, e-book and life time support. Hmm, lets see....PLR articles can get it free, there are tonnes of resources available and e-book as well. Life time support....is there really prompt and timely reply? is the reply really able to solve your questions? No idea on this. They even put it in a way that once you have created your websites, the websites will generate income for you without having any maintenance.

Money will flow in when you are sleeping and when you are having your holiday. Yes, no doubt this is right when your website is having tones of traffic per day and when your websites is well maintained enough. Before you comes to this, there are a lot of effort and time need to invest to make this happened. They had give a wrong perception to the public thinking that online is the easiest way to be rich. It is easy if you used the right strategy, right mind set, and right amount of effort and time just as if you run an offline business.

This has make me think of a childhood story 'The king and his new clothes'. These 'expert' are those 'tailor' who promised to tailor a new clothes for the king on his royal party. There are only an 'invisible' new clothes for the king and only those 'smart' people can 'see' it. At the end, this group of 'tailor' get the money they want and just went disappeared. I guess everyone knows the moral of this story without further elaborate. You can choose to be the 'King' or not, is all depends on you. Always used your thinking cap to make a decision.

I'm writing here is because I do not wish to see more and more people out there become the wise 'King'.

There are many get rich quick scheme ... Most don't want the work but wants the money ... That is the way in for many scammers out there.

I've been a new new newbie once and really believe in these ads easily. Now I've become smarter and know how to immediately identify whether their claim is misleading or not.

I would not conclude whether it is scam or not because as long as I never try my best to do something, then I won't know. But if the ads seems misleading, I will normally give it a skip.

Thanks for sharing, Tracy.

It seems that your glass is half empty at the moment. Your experience online seems to be not such a good one. I agree, the King just needs to make sure what ever he is getting is the real thing. If only he has done some research he would have seen if it was fake or not.
You are always going to get people who think they are experts in that product online. Real life shops also have supposed experts who really are not.
Online you are either an affiliate or a producer of a product. All your website does is advertises your products, what ever they are to the whole world. Its your job to make sure that the products you are selling is the real thing. I hope that your glass is now half full, and yes it does take time to setup your website and to get traffic to it, but it will be worth it sooner or later.

yes, I'm still learning and with WA I'll get the full glass someday.

I'm writing here to create awareness and sharing.
I just don't wish that these people go through the path where most of us gone through before landed in WA....Does it make some sense to you?

Yes it does and that is all we can do. That is why we need to be alert in what ever we do online or in real life. The scammers and hackers online are very slick at what they do. You know the saying: If it sounds to good to be true then it probably isn't true.
