What Is The Reason You Celebrate 4th July?

Is it someone's birthday, anniversary, graduation, or a reminder of something pertinent?

I believe there are many reasons to celebrate 4th July and one of them is quite significant to me - a pertinent reminder of from whence I came and who contributed to my being here.

Way back in Kansa City in the 1890s, an extraordinary man was born into a family of entrepreneurs. He was very diligent and persevered through his youth years and college to gain many skills, tenacity and determination.

During those years he obtained a few degrees, and even found time to court and become married. That was not all! He lived in a tent with his wife whilst he built his OWN house in the 1920s!

This was almost unheard-of in his day, it seems he had energy for 3 people or more to accomplish and achieve his goals. Oh and did I mention.... he also became a minister and preached to many in his congregation.

As time went on he believed he had a higher calling and decided to become a missionary to Africa. So he and his wife set out to Africa and started building a mission station among the African people. He taught them many things and preached to them too.

Sadly, life became too much to bear without children and his wife couldn't have any children, so they adopted a child. For him this still was not enough and sad to say, he met another woman.

His wife and adopted daughter returned to America and he stayed to pursue his new married life with the new lady in his life. He was overjoyed when he heard the news that his new wife was pregnant and they were to have their first child. A few years later, they had another child and it was a girl!

Sadly when the little girl was about 10 years old, he took ill and passed away.

*******************************************************

Life is quite amazing!

The new lady in his life - was my maternal grandmother

The 10-year-old girl - is my mother

If it weren't for them all, I wouldn't be here today.

So my reminder when I realize it's 4th July, is to remember that I am a significant part of the USA Celebrations and I celebrate from whence I came.

Now I know you're going to ask, what does this have to do with WA?

If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have the opportunity to provide the training and help here at WA to help you in your endeavours to create a successful online business through your very own website!
