Too much work to do? Then maybe clearing the desks is the answer!
I have been here at WA for almost 2 and half years and in that time I haven't really hit success. I have had loads of small milestones like the first page on Google, the first no One spot on Google, the first sale on Amazon, the first sale on clickbank etc.
These have all been great and I had loads of sales on my eBay shop which I used to fund my online business so all was going forward. However I seemed to stall towards the end of 2013 the sites weren't growing and in fact I was slipping in ranking.
I was torn into five directions by the projects I had going. I had the eBay shop, an ekmpowershop, my fishing blog, a review blog and my bootcamp. 5 projects and I still had my day job and family life to squeeze in.
I was feeling the pressure so I had to make some decisions. I closed the ekmpowershop in favor of the eBay shop as sales were better and the review blog was closed. I could after all put them on my fishing blog anyway.
So I am down to 3 projects from 5. Some may say I should go further and drop the bootcamp to concentrate on the fishing blog and eBay shop and I may do that but for now I will keep it in place to see what happens.
I have put more time into my remaining projects and have seen the blog move back up in ranking and start to make some sales again. The eBay shop is steadily increasing too but as we are now moving into fishing season again I would have expected that anyway but I feel the extra work has helped and I feel more relaxed on my work loads.
What I would say to you is when starting out don't get carried away with too many things. The distraction will hamper your progress and cause you to stumble. I am just glad I cleared the desks before it was too late and I burned out trying to juggle all that work. :)

It is so hard to find the right balance as you try to grow and expand... you set a great example by choosing to shelve two projects, to focus on the ones that have greater potential.
Thank you for sharing your progress and knowledge!!

I was stubborn for too long thinking I could manage it. It took the voice of reason from my now new partner to push me to drop a few projects and now that I have, I feel so much netter for it.
I'm thankful for your advice as I'm about to embark on another 2 more websites... that will certainly impact my training and progress at WA. Yes, let's focus on my affiliate website first.
Unless you have loads of time to work on all those sites you need to make sure one is up and running and making money before moving on.
Agreed. When I was freelancing in several website projects, the less projects you had going simultanuously, the more you achieved. More projects at the same time in most cases 'divides your head' so to speak. After a while you might realize, you've accomplished nearly nothing. :)
Yea it frustrating as you watch others move forward steadily while you seem to go backwards because of work loads. Quality over quantity!

Have done the same, had to. We have to have a life to get a life.^_~
Its easy to get carried away. I am doing better now my work load has decreased.
Good to know love. You may have put the other projects on hold but keep your blogs running. My old ones are bringing in the money after I tweaked them learning here at the WA.
Think it's like watching a pot come to boil, takes forever it seems, but then the bubbles rapidly come to the top. LOL ^_~
