Googleplus 20K and rising
OK I checked my googleplus profile yesterday and noticed that 20,000 are now following me.
Am I that popular? I know I wasn't when back at school. What has happened? Why are they following me?
Do you know all I did was get active. Everyday I put up a post or two, followed a few people or two and was active on other posts. I joined a few communities and answered questions other people had.
The first few months it was slow I would get maybe 1-2 new followers a day. I had maxed out my circles with 5000 I was following and had to do a clear out with a nice tool called Circloscope Uncirclers, its an extension in chrome and did a good job.
Over the next few months I seen the figure go up to 10-15 per day added to my number and as it grew now I get about 100 a day.
Where will this go who knows but almost every time I post on Googleplus I get interaction, people share, plus and follow the links to my site. OK not all 20K do, that would be awesome, but I'm getting activity and its adding to the snowball effect.
Hopefully one day I can use this group to really kick off my site and then the real fun begins.

***Update 04-02-19*** Googleplus is closing in April this year. No more using it to produce traffic to your websites. Shame but there are other paltforms out there to gain traffic, for me Pinterest has been a good alternative.

That's great! Google takes your activity and popularity and uses it to determine your rankings (if you have authorship installed) .
Sounds like fun, tommo1968, congrats on such a huge following! Can you kindly teach this aging cat how to add people/circles on G+? I have an old twitter account which is fun when I'm free, but G+ is an entirely different animal, not that easy to maneuver. thanks!

If I have rightly understood the key is keep on writing,interacting,share your views on all the available platforms and you will make your own network irrespective of the numbers.To make network is more Important then gaining numbers.
Being active but also being helpful and providing quality content will get a quicker and better response than spamming content.

How to convert people into leads or sales on GooglePlus, please share, thanks.
Be active with your followers, send them links to your website with the sales pitch after connecting with them for a while. Its no good to go straight for sales you need to connect first.
