Stocking Your Shelves
It came to my mind the other day, that starting an online business is a lot like open an offline business. All the steps you take to open an offline business should be taken as well with your online business.
These include: Writing a Mission Statement and Writing a Business Plan.
You also need to start to find products and/or services to add to your website. Just like you would find products and/or services to stock your shelves in your offline business.
You also have to realize that just like an offline business, your online business needs time to grow.
As time goes on you will need to find new products and/or services to add to you business to keep up with changing times.
You should also realize that you can use the same tools to promote your online business as you would your offline business like business cards and fliers and maybe a sign in your front yard. I have seen Avon Sold Here signs, So why not place a sign in your front yard promoting your website.

Good advice here Tom. Yes, an online business need time to grow. I think many people miss this point and is not necessarily that much easier in some ways than starting a physical business. There is too much "stuff" on the internet making people think that it's a matter of clicking a few buttons and you're rich.
Really this is funny that you should write this. I was just realizing the same thing, once you are open doesn't mean that people are going to flock to you. it means that word needs to get around you are open for business...whole opening analogy could really keep going. I bet many people could add to this exponentially
Love it when to great minds think alike LOL
God bless

Excellent advise Tom. The operative word in Online Business is "Business," not "Online." Lee
Good blog with an excellent point. We need a business plan to map out what our business needs to grow, online global or local.
