Onto to lessons 3 ! but I still have a question: precisely how do you make a specific page your default so when you you open your website that particular page always shows ?????
yes - one that always is the opening page. I don't know how to set up the page (or Post) so this happens.

You can set up a static homepage when you click on Customize in your wordpress dashboard, but you first need to create the page you want to have as a static homepage.
