Hi everyone,

Yay! I got to Top 100 at WA only a couple days before my first 90 days at WA. I wonder what the exact date was that I joined. I guess I could look back through my emails. I'm not sure.

Anyway THANK YOU to every one of you for collaborating with me and teaching me along the way. I feel like I have learned a ton. It has been a steep learning curve and yet I have so far yet to go. Anyway, thank you for being here with me it means a LOT. :)

So I hit the jackpot yesterday with 2 facebook "boosts" on 2 different pages I own/manage. I decided to google the richest countries in the world and found a list of the top 50. Then I created an 'audience' for each of those countries.

Then I created 2 different ads for the new affiliate program I just joined on cj.com, A very good brand with a high EPC. A product that fits nicely into my niche(s).

I set a budget of $20 for each ad and for it to run for only 1 day. Then I sent submitted and waited. It only took a few minute before I started getting lots of likes from around the world. Very cool. Hardly any engagement or interaction with anybody though.

So I started clicking 'invite' to invite each likee to like my page that I was posting on in facebook. (one is /welcomewagonusa and the other is /todaystech77). I got a few likes of my pages. Probably about 40 from each post.

Just before midnight, about 8 hours into the posts I got to 1000 likes on each post. Then they stopped showing up on the list of people who like. Meaning I only get to see 1000 people who like my post I guess.

Then I stopped being able to invite people to like my pages. I guess from googling for an answer I found that other people had had a similar experience (https://www.facebook.com/help/...). It seems that facebook considers it spam when you don't get an awful lot of conversions of people who like your post to like your page after you invite them to like your page. That's my conclusion anyway.

So I'm brainstorming with myself this morning about how to use all of this information and how to approach each of these people who liked my posts (and my pages).

You know I only spent about $8 for each post to get to 1000 likes. So a total of $16 for 2000 likes. That's a pretty good ROI if you ask me. Now I have an audience. And I can ban anybody who acts up.

Any thoughts or ideas? Hope this helps somebody. Tim

That's useful on how much you spent to get those 1000s as many affiliate programs ask for a good quantity of likes before they let you/me in!

yup. likes are going up again. I noticed in the "notifications" section of my facebook business page. I'm at about 1150 on each now.

And thank you @VeronicasLuv for the idea to ask questions in the post. I like it and put in a few. Hopefully I'll get some more engagement :)

I just noticed that I'm up to about 1100 likes on each post now. Hmmmm. I'm going to test a few things. One of those being: am I still getting likes on my boost even though I can't see the list of likes growing. I'm resuming the boosts. I'll keep you posted...

Congratulations!!

Well done.

Yeah, good job!

Those are fantastic returns! Congrats on a job well done on both counts.

Hi Tim. This is encouraging and helpful information. I look forward to seeing further updates on your progress.

Thanks Sue :)

Congratulations on reaching Top 100 too! :)

Congratulations on reaching Top 100, Tim! The affiliate ads you created look great!

I don't have any suggestions to offer other than this: If you don't get any suggestions, I would suggest to create a question. You're bound to receive feedback that may not come from this post alone.

That's great thank you!

Yeah I'm thinking of making a video, thanking them for liking my post, then posting it on youtube and sharing the link in the comments of each of the 2 posts.

I'm thinking that I might do more targeted audiences in the future and then try a targeted video for each post after I get to 1000 likes.

I just said good morning in the comments and tried to engage everybody by asking which country they are in and what language they prefer. Hopefully I get some feedback.

Wow!!! $16 for 2,000...likes, that's excellent! Did you happen to catch Jay's training on adding YouTube videos a couple of weeks ago? It seems like you already know what you're doing, but you may hear something that could be helpful.

I haven't heard his training yet. Great idea. I'll have to check it out. As usual, I always pick something up on all of the training here even if I've heard a lot of it before. Thanks!

Here you go:

Terrific Tim!
