I was thinking about what I should do on WA this weekend...So I Welcomed A Few New People
It occurred to me that one critical element in the network we’re building here is how important it is to welcome new people that come to Wealthy Affiliate. How does the saying go, “you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression “.
So a new person’s first impressions of WA will certainly include the welcome we give them upon joining. Whether they join for free or signing up right away for the premium account, the platform can be a bit daunting at first to uninitiated. I was thinking that as part of our individual welcome messages, a reminder to get into either the Bootcamp or the Entrepreneur training would be an important part of the message. I think it’s Kyle that also has the welcome mat message which I found to be quite informative.
But I have to say there is nothing more inviting then a sincere Welcome from a fellow member. It begins to form an important bond between the “newbie” and the network they’ll begin building and becoming a part of. Another benefit is that the “newbie” at some point will have a chance to pay-it-forward by remembering how welcome they felt when we reached out to them upon joining. Having been on board for about two weeks, I still have a great feeling about my on-boarding experience.
So making that extra effort to say Welcome can go a long way towards making it a real positive first impression. The effort doesn’t go unnoticed by other members either which serves as a reminder.

Hi TimMoto , Ya,Yes....am also new about 3 weeks..Like new babies, a very warm welcome by the family will go a long way to make newbies feel at home ...if WA is to be THE spot in affiliate marketing trainer...it not only has to have good resources and instructor but the warm human touch of helpful people in this cold, impersonal cyberworld.
Agree 100%. A warm welcome, and continued support can mean the difference in someone staying in the WA community. And staying in the WA community can mean the difference in someone making it in online business! We see the greatest success in helping others succeed, as we continue to learn in the process.
