So Far So Good

It feels way longer with everything I've learned and applied but I've only been a premium member in WA for about a week.

And I've learned so much more than I ever thought I would. I never saw myself behind the scenes of an online website because I just didn't know a lot of techy stuff. It seemed like something I'd never come close to. Yet, here I am.

One thing I do enjoy is writing. Being able to apply that here feels like I finally found something I can be good at. I'm actually fresh out of high school and with college just being too out of reach financially, this feels like the next best thing.

It's like I am in some sort of school and I love it. I love how it's just like an online class, only not as expensive. I love this feeling of learning something that I can use. I can show that, as a small town girl, with little parental aid, I can still be successful.

So far, Wealthy Affiliate feels like I found my own way for that success.

Painting My Site

Even more than writing the content for my site, it's super exciting just to get to customize it!

I love creativity and I was thrilled when I finally reached the video in which I learned how to add images into my site and articles. My niche, in particular, is watercolor painting.

As I mentioned in my previous blog post, I have such a vision for my site. I may not be a full expert on everything relating to it but I learn something new each time I create a post. There's so much I want to learn how to add or if I can do.

I would like to add videos and how to's and have a very organized page for customers looking to buy products related to the niche. My biggest dream (sometimes I want to ask, other times I say wait and see if there's a video) is to create a page solely for my artist traffic.

Given that watercolor painting is fewer words and more imagery, I would absolutely love to see everyone's art! A page where anyone can literally post what they've created. Or maybe someone here knows of a way I can make some kind of program so people can submit their art and then a winner is chosen so their art can be made public.

Just my brainstorming, it's not all clear but I know I want something like that in the future.

Every Achievement Counts

With my limited time here, I could say I haven't achieved much... but it doesn't feel that way! On the same night I was overjoyed just to customize my site, I received my google badge ^-^ My excitement quadrupled.

It's just so much better and more encouraging of a program than I was expecting and to be making any progress at all this fast is mind blowing. To me, every little advance in WA feels like an achievement.

From buying my own domain to getting comments on my site from the community. Getting to see other newcomers just like me and seeing my network of WA friends grow! Even just now, I'm almost finished with the second course and that will update my badge. I can't wait but I enjoy this opportunity to share my progress here.

Everything here counts.

Months From Today

Well, I can't really be sure if I'm going faster or slower than the average member. It also depends on my niche and the competition out there, how much I can quicken in writing my content, and how well I learn all the material.

But, I think in a just couple months time (maybe 3, maybe 11), I will certainly be earning something and seeing the results of my perseverance.

I believe in the people in this community when they tell me I can do it. If those who have done it without instruction made it far, I know I can at least see some kind of profit.

I am also super grateful for everything I'm learning and what more I'll learn here in the weeks and months to come. Even when I finish all the courses, I'll continue to learn by experience thanks to this program.
