I signed up for infolinks last night and today they approved my website for their ads. But they put a lot of links all over my posts which I feel looked tacky so I limited it to
Thanks for this ... I just uploaded and activated the plug in for it and then thought to search on it on WA. Needless to say, after seeing this, I've just deactivated and deleted it!
In my opinion, infolinks pays pennies and confuses visitors. They don't really do an efficient job of linking to relevant content. Plus, you lose visitors that go to other websites looking for information or stuff to buy.
I would get rid of infolinks, and not worry about adsense. It can be cool to actually make a bit of money with these programs because there's no pressure to 'make a sale', ie you can just write, but I think it's a much better long term strategy to find a good affiliate program that fits into your niche.
You'll make more money, with fewer advertisements, and your site will look better too.
I have just put infolinks on my site and its HORRIBLE it messes up the flow of my site making it look horrible and then the stuff is not even logical. "Beard" takes you to some auction site to buy a beard presumably. It is O.U.T. spells out of here.

Thanks for asking this question! I set up infolinks last night and then today I logged in and couldn't figure out what was going on. There were highlighted words everywhere and it looks horrible. Good to know I can just deactivate and move on.
Had the same experience! Tacky and unprofessional to say the least! Removing them today. Lydia.
