ARE YOU SHORTCHANGING YOURSELF?
This is very frustrating because, actually, you are expected to reply to an unknown quantity.
The folk here at WA are a very helpful group and would like to at least know your name and why you are here so they can help and advise you if necessary. However, if you do not know who you are dealing with, that is very difficult to do.
Take the time to go and look at the pages of new arrivals and from the comments of the established members, you can immediately see how they are perceived and received.
If you are here to learn about Internet Marketing and you are hoping to build a successful business, then you need to present yourself as well as you possibly can. After all, you are expecting some help and guidance from the older members and no one is particularly interested in assisting someone they know nothing about.
It might also be an indication of how serious and committed you really are to making a go of things here and I do not believe any person is overly keen to spend time helping someone who is ultimately really just wasting time.
So come on Newbies! Try to be more positive and give us some details about yourself. We do not need to know if your grandfather’s, sister’s, hairdresser’s second cousin’s friend has ingrown toenails, but we need just the basics, at least.
Don’t be shy, tell us a bit about yourself.
If you are here to promote some new “Shining Object”, then I must ask you not to do that please. You know and I know that it does not really work.
Do yourself a huge favour and at least introduce yourself properly and add a picture of yourself. No one is going to poke fun at you. We would like to help you where we can.

Very true, Theos! Great post. If people can't be bothered to fill out profile information or include a picture, we can't really take them seriously or it just goes to show how little effort they might put in their business online. When I first see a new profile with no info and no picture, it makes me wonder " Can I trust them? Do I want to add them to my network? Maybe they are just playing around and kicking tires! It makes me relunctant to follow them.
I guess we can only give them the benefit of the doubt that they might just not have gotten around to it yet since they are brand new to the site and life can be busy at times.
When you first enter the site you are requested to introduce yourself and to put up a picture. Maybe their reading skills are still under developed. :-)
I totally agree with you here. Its a shame how much people are losing out on because of something simple.
I just came into the free membership, and was trying to set a profile picture, but the button to browse seems to be broken, so I guess I'll have to hold off until tomorrow when someone can help, or maybe it'll just be fixed...I don't know. Hi though. Time to go to sleep.
Very well said and necessary! I am a relative newbie as you call them, but want to at least put a face with a name and say howdy. I understand your frustration and would hope that others get a hint. May be a good welcome comment you have here theos.
