I honestly don't know why you are only making 1-2 sales a month with the traffic you are getting (double what I am getting right now - my site is 2 years old).

If you haven't done so, check out your analytics and see what your best performing articles are.

I quickly read over some of the articles in "contacts advice" section and noticed there weren't many (or any) affiliate links or links to your home page where you have the great table with links to purchase all of the contact lenses.

Once you have figured out your best performing articles you can add affiliate links to those or like I mentioned, add a link to your home page.

I have started making images for some of my links to make them stand out more (especially when I can't find a way to naturally add a particular link to part of the text).

If most of your traffic is coming from google then they probably aren't landing on your home page. And I wouldn't rely on your sidebar for making sales. People tend to block out side bars these days. And on a mobile device it would be at the very bottom anyway.

Do you have a Facebook page and a Twitter page? It sounds like you're doing what you need to do, but maybe you could push more traffic there. Best of luck.
