Alright, I've been a Premium member for about a month now. I've been writing my blog on EDM music and how the festivals and shows I've gone to have been amazing. My question is
No harm in having a site in the same Niche.
There will be countless sites in that Niche.
Look on your interview as a collaboration and exchange links.
It is not a bad thing to have good Backlinks.
Perhaps you can ask to contribute an article to that other site (with a link back to your site of course).
Hope this helps but I personally wouldn't give up a perfectly good Domain Name just because there are other websites marketing to that Niche.
Enjoy your Tuesday.

Confused about my niche, help?
Alright, I've been a Premium member for about a month now. I've been writing my blog on EDM music and how the festivals and shows I've gone to have been amazing. My question is
I would focus on what the other website doesn't have but what you can add to your niche.
There is always room to narrow it down to a particular section or area of a niche.
See this interview as an opportunity to "fine" tune your site.
