The "open in a new tab" checkbox.

I almost always check the "open in a new tab" checkbox.

My reasoning is because personally, I get frustrated when I am doing research and get off on a tangent and then forget what I was doing. I then like to get back to where I started so I can remember what I was looking for. -- I can get back to the original website.

Also, for my website viewers, I want them to be able to get back to find my website, if they got off on a tangent.

So... I almost always check the "open in a new tab" checkbox when linking out of my website(s).

I'm curious if other do this as well.

Or if this is actually a bad practice?

Whatcha think?

I do the same thing too, Brad. You don't want the viewers to click away. :)

Myra ♥️

I use the same logic, Brad.

Sure do, Brad!

I don't want people to navigate away from my website, just pop up a new tab with my offerings, other articles, helpful info, etc.

I do the same. You want people to stay connected to your site.

It is also sometimes good to re-check links to see if they still open a new tab.

It makes sense to me.
