Let’s Get Creative!

Most of us are aware of the standard methods of driving traffic to an offer like paid ads and search engine optimization.

Let’s work together and compile some unusual and different ways possibly even a little wacky to get people to your website and your offers.

  • Print a QR code on a business card and hand it out at in person events
  • Print the QR code on a T-shirt.
  • Get a table or a booth at a tradeshow or craft fair. Maybe your local farmers market.
  • Sponsor a musician at a small concert or coffee shop and ask them to mention you from the stage, or maybe put a sign on the stage.
  • Run a digital billboard ad on a local freeway. (It’s surprisingly affordable.)
  • Do a presentation at a local Rotary or Toastmasters or Lyon event.
  • YOUR TURN ‼️

Great topic, Brad — and I like that you’re pushing people to think beyond the usual SEO/ads conversation.

What I’ve seen (both online and offline) is that “outside the box” traffic works best when it’s tied to context and relevance, not just novelty. A QR code on a shirt or a booth at a local event can absolutely work — if the audience already has some reason to care about what’s on the other side of the link.

From the offline side of things, I’ve seen solid results come from:

speaking or teaching in front of a group where trust already exists

being present at industry or community events without pitching

turning real conversations into follow-ups rather than cold clicks

The wacky ideas get attention, but the relationship usually drives the conversion.

Curious to see what others add here — especially examples where something unconventional actually led to engaged traffic, not just eyeballs.

Thanks, and Have a Great Day!
