Why Commit to a 30-Day Challenge
Hello everyone Sanford here,
I love that question, why would anyone commit to a 30-day challenge? I mean most of us can’t even commit to a 3 or a 4 day challenge. Tell me I am wrong? Did you have New Year’s resolutions? Yeah, how is that going for you? Yeah, me too.
I can think of several reasons why I wouldn’t commit to a 30-day challenge, like a whole month? I can’t even think past tomorrow let alone a whole month. Or, I just don’t know if I can commit to that, I mean my life is so helter skelter right now that a month just doesn’t seem realistic. There are a plethera of excuses for not doing it.
What I found was I could only come up with a few reasons why I would want to do it. Here is my short list:
1. To impress a girl or a boy. Now that person could be one you want to date and haven’t had the nerve to ask out yet. They could be your current girlfriend, fiancé or even your spouse. Point is you want to make them proud of you and get those kudos from them in the form of love and affection.
2. You want to impress an employer. This employer could be one you hope to work for and you can put it on your resume; or an employer you already work for and want to get that promotion you so desperately want. Either way, you are looking to impress them and showing them you can commit to a 30 day challenge would go a long way towards showing you have what it takes to commit to a project.
3. You want to challenge yourself. You want to see if you have what it takes to put in the work, time, and effort to make the necessary changes in your life to get a goal accomplished and learn something in the process. This is my reason for committing to a 30-day challenge, what I learn about myself is far more important to me than impressing anyone else.
I am sure you can come up with other reasons why you should or should not commit to a 30-day challenge, these are the top three reasons I think you should.
I would love to hear from you and see what you think about committing to a 30-day challenge. Drop me a quick note in the comments, I am a quick advocate of opinions, especially those that differ from my own.
As always,
I am at your service,
Sanford

I really don't believe that I could come up with a new idea that was any good to write about everyday for 30 days. I'm lucky if I can get 4 in 1 week. The average for me is 3 per week. Until I get better at finding things I think I can write about I won't do this. I also am putting a lot of time into Pinterest now as that is my only social media presence.

Hi Barbara,
Thank you so much for your comment. But the 30-day challenge doesn't have to be about writing. It could be something like try a specific diet for 30 days, or maybe a workout routine, or Zumba every day for 30 days. Anything that will challenge you to do that one thing that will get you out of your comfort zone and keep you there so you can progress in life instead of be stagnant or even worse regress.
Have an awesome day, thanks again for your comment.
Not a problem, I wrote it to get back into the habit of posting here, I have been a member for 12 years and have not been a participant for several years now. Apply the challenge for yourself, maybe set one up and get others involved, use it to market and gain leads for your offers.
I am still doing the morning jot down thing for another 18 days. I did it simply for a bit of discipline and to see what my brain could think of.
