When you're working on your online business, clearing your cache is essentially giving your browser a "fresh start," so it stops relying on old, stored data.

If you've just made changes to a page, post, image, or website setting and aren't seeing the results, a clogged cache is likely the culprit. Like a toilet, after your business is done, you need to flush. Also, put the seat back down! (Ask my wife!)

Here is why it’s a vital habit for your workflow:

1. Seeing Your Latest Updates

The browser tries to be helpful by saving (caching) parts of websites so they load faster next time. However, this means that if you update a page on your site, you might still see the old version. Clearing the cache forces the browser to download the most recent version of your work.

2. Fixing Layout "Glitches."

Sometimes a site's code updates, but your browser keeps an old version. This causes things to look broken, buttons to be out of place, or images not to align. Clearing the cache fixes these visual errors.

3. Resolving Login & Form Issues

If you find yourself stuck in a "login loop" or a form isn't submitting correctly, it’s often because of corrupted cache data. Wiping it out (Flushing) resets the connection.

4. Improving Browser Speed

Just like an old notebook that gets too full to read quickly, a cache that is too large can actually slow down your computer. Periodic cleaning keeps your browser snappy.

Here is a quick tip for Flushing: just remember to jiggle the handle when done!

If you ever want to clear the cache for just one specific page without losing all your saved passwords or history, you can perform a "Hard Refresh":
