You Can be a Writer
So you want to be a writer. Not so hard. Anyone can "write" inasmuch you actually use a writing utensil. Push keys down on a laptop? Sure. But what we're getting at is releasing ideas that are in your head onto some other place...a computer screen or a sheet of paper. Either way someone else is potentially going to see your thoughts or ideas. At least you will see them, and seeing them yourself and thinking they are worth keeping is a large part of the battle.
So, who are you writing for or to? Knowing your audience can help you in some way focus your thoughts and decide how to say what you want to say. You won't write about something destined for a group of retired grandmothers in the same way you would a group of 25 year old millennials would you? I am sure they are not backpacking to Thailand together!
What they do have in common is that they are going to listen to someone else's opinion at some point about something. That someone could just as well be you in describing some place that may or may not make a difference in their life. You are now a difference maker. An influencer so to speak.

Good post, Thomas.
Knowing your audience is probably the most important element central to good writing. It helps you to focus your message, and that is quite important.
Continued success to you.

Understanding what matters to each generational group only enhances our ability to creating marketing campaigns geared towards them. As a baby boomer I expect things differently and will react differently then my GenX/Millennial kids...its an interesting topic to research and has proven beneficial to me when writing and selling :).
