Full Moons, Crazies and Falling Forward

What a week that full moon was huh?

Honestly, I never believed in the full moon effect when I was younger. I was young and the world was just what it was. People were just making excuses for their craziness in my eyes then!

I wasn't until I worked as a nurse in nursing homes that I understood the power of the full moon. It wasn't just a little coincidence or possible problem, it was a time when everyone when BS crazy! Our wanderers wandered out the doors in the cold, the mean millies pulled the walkers out from under the crying Christies and then there were the Bobs....don't even get me started on old Bob!

It was fascinating and frightening watching the cycles. But with ease and deadly accuracy I learned to predict when our patients would once again take flight. It really wasn't different when I worked on the ranch. Turns out animals aren't much different from humans during these cycles. The animals got flighty, testy and downright ugly just before and during full moon phases. No they couldn't run you over with their car or hit you with their shopping cart but they still had their way of cussing and protesting.

This year we have all had our fair share of retrograde too. Its been a real handful just trying to figure out what direction to run and even rougher trying to stay true to that path. But when change is necessary, I have learned that full-moon, retrograde or any other external effect, we have to keep trying. Move forward, fall on your face, dust yourself off, fall again, get up and do it again. Its tiresome and frustrating, isn't it? But when you finally meet your time to shine, think of how much more wonderful it will feel.

Its taken me 30 days to get to where I am but I am happy to be doing it in a great community with a good idea of what I am doing. If you feel like you feel like you haven't a clue what you are doing, trust me when I say- KEEP TRYING! It will make sense eventually.

Lately I can feel these old noggin cogs turning. Everything is an idea and a way to reach others. Keep on going, stick with the instructions and keep making changes until it works.

For now, enjoy the quiet, create some peace and enjoy your week!

Having such fun reading you!
Thank you

Lol J.J. It is true about the effect of a full moon. Keep up the good work and things will start to fall into place, full moon and all.

Thank you Harvey!! I try to work around those grumpy old moons LOL! Keep on Keepin ON!

Haha "noggin cogs", love that turn of phrase.

My horses have been right skittish the last week, funny boys. Things that wouldn't normally bother them, like a willy wagtail that lives in the bay geldings stall has suddenly become a horse eating, rabid, flying beast intent on eating both of them!

Isnt that the truth LOL My horses have been pretty quiet but my Great Dane has been scared of her own shadow this week. Animals are funny creatures- what would we do without them??
Thanks for the comment- you made me laugh!!
JJ

We are so similar, I have a giant dog too, an Irish Wolfhound, very unimaginatively called Murphy. Mind you nothing bothers him, that would take too much effort lol.

I LOVE Irish Wolfhounds!! They are such amazing dogs. We had a pair that lived in a memory care center that the vet I worked for took care. They were the kindest souls I'd ever known.

He is a wonderful boy, bit of a handful as a pup but he’s 18 months old now and starting to settled, whole lot of dog though lol
