Now that I have my list of Keywords on Jaaxy how do I incorporate them into my website?
You use a single different keyword(s) for each Page or Post. Just put it in the title and first para. For example if one of your keywords was "prune orchids" your title might be "How to prune orchids" and in your first para you might have "the best way to prune orchids is to..." etc. Rich.
Thanks Rich, I didn't really understand that issue either. I was thinking it had to be in the SEO plugin. I appreciate you wise advice, as usual.
I wouldn't recommend filling in titles or descriptions in the SEO plug-in boxes unless you specifically want to override a search engines natural selection. Rich.
Really? I shouldn't be putting in SEO titles and descriptions? I have done that for every page and post. Is that going to interfere with getting indexed?
And what about entering the keywords in the SEO meta as well. I see so many conflicting reports.
It is far better to let a search engine make the decision on what it displays than force it by adding info in the SEO boxes. For example, if someone searched for "slipper orchids" and my "prune orchids" Page or Post contained info. on "slipper orchids" that was relevant and I haven't added my own SEO description, Google will display a description highlighting "slipper orchids" in bold in the summary so my Page or Post in the search results will look a lot more relevant to someone looking at them. If I add a description then that is what it will display regardless of what was searched for. This can be useful for example if you had a Page or Post with just pictures on it and no text and wanted to force a description. Most search engines, including Google don't use Meta Keywords. In fact, you could be doing yourself more harm than good by using them: http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/keywords-meta-tag-in-web-search/ Rich.
