ENOUGH; Thanks WA, Move Over 2020!

Hi Online Community & rest of Humanity,

2020 has been what I call "The Year of The Great Storm" - the COVID-19 pandemic, superimposed on the HIV pandemic. Lockdowns and economic downturns ensued.

But part of the global community positioned itself so as to reap positively from the whole situation. The crisis was turned into an opportunity.

I personally was kinda lucky to be introduced to Wealthy Affiliate in this disastrous year, for I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. (I would however have benefited better if I had known about WA between 2013 and 2016.)

Due to the excellent training and community support at Wealthy Affiliate, I set up my main, own domain website on 2 April. I have managed to be accepted into several affiliate programs. And the website now displays Google ads.

This week, I have just discovered some website ranking tools, and this is what I found concerning my main website:

Now, the cynic will say, "Rank 193k! ☹️😥"

But how many webpages are there in the world as of 2020? Reportedly, it's SIX BILLION! That puts my website in the Top 0.003%! And that's after 8.5 months!

I have previously written about a second, "extracurricular" website that I had to set up on 6 September. This website's articles have a >50% Page 1 Ranking, with most at Position 1. This, I have not yet been able to achieve with my main website.

And to crown everything, there is this global entertainment phenomenon amidst all the sorrow, that many people are competing in. I wrote two articles on it, and they managed to get me to Position 1 of Google, Yahoo and Bing respectively! That means in my own way as a Writer, I have won the global challenge! What could be more fulfilling and uplifting?

My main website would probably have never given me such exhilaration. And I needed that upliftment; we all need it! That is why, next year, I wish to write a post that I have contemplated for long, entitled, "It Can't Be One-Website-Fits-All".

And on the evening of Saturday 19th December, I saw Diane Scorpio's well written article on a Swedish company that is currently hiring Writers. I immediately set out to write a sample post, which I submitted in the wee hours of the 20th, my birthday. Within 24-48 hours, I had been immediately approved as a Writer.

I wish to thank all of you beautiful people who have made all these successes possible. And I repeat my call to those who are still on the fence, to please join Wealthy Affiliate as quickly as they can. The possibilities are endless!

Let me leave you with a little rhyme which I hope to compose in the next 10-20 minutes:

It has been a very difficult year,

A year of pain, anxiety and fear.

As COVID-19 global devastation

Caused untold stress and frustration,

On our faces despair could be seen.

But with the discovery of a Covid vaccine,

We look forward to Year Twenty Twenty-one,

And hope it will be a brighter and bouncier one!
