Day 2 of my 90-Day Youtube Challenge

Today is day two of my Youtube challenge. I decided yesterday that I would commit to creating one video per day on Youtube along with one email to my list, one blog post on my website, and one post here.

It's quite a challenge.

I had been putting off Youtube because I wanted to get better at creating good videos, because I didn't feel comfortable, and because I felt good at blogging in the written word. After my recent 13 month success post where I announced that I've been getting daily referrals, I was super motivated to ramp things up.

I said to myself, "If I can get one referral per day, then I know my framework is good. Now, it I can 10x my traffic and conversions, then I should be getting 1 sale per day rather than simply one starter referral". My traffic has been on an incline (going up by nearly 60% month over month), so I know things are starting to get interesting anyway, but I decided if I could ramp things up, then I should be more excited about my income from blogging very soon.

Miles Beckler is a content marketer on Youtube that advocates for aggressive and consistent publishing as a means of traffic generation. He did a recent 31 month reveal where you can see the analytics of his Youtube channel after 493 videos. In nearly 3 years, he's been able to have amazing growth (4.5 million views and 90K subscribers), and his videos are fairly simple (from a production standpoint). He says his videos were even more simple when he started out.

His 31 month video was so motivating to me. I felt like what he was recommending was something completely feasible for me. I decided that rather than only publishing daily content (as I had been doing), I should try out publishing one video per day for the next 90 days in effort to 10x my traffic and conversions.

I wasn't sure if it would be possible to publish all of the content I wanted to, but it doesn't hurt to take on the challenge, right?

Well, so far, I've published two videos per day, written one email to my list per day, and written one post here each day, but my blog is suffering. Part of the reason is I chose a massive blog post to write that takes more time than a normal post I'd write. This blog post is probably going to be 10,000 or so words and maybe I should publish a smaller post and work on this one in smaller chunks so I'm still accomplishing my goals.

Tomorrow, I'll probably do that....I'll work on a smaller blog post for my site, publish one Youtube video, email my list, and write a post here.

This challenge is like running a marathon, but I believe it will pay off.

If you have something you've been putting off whether because of fear or some other reason, I challenge you to pick it up. If you believe it can help to grow you personally or grow your business, brush the excuses away and GO FOR IT!

It's the uncomfortable things that push us out of our comfort zone that grow us the most, so push past the discomfort.

If you're interested, you can check out my Youtube channel here. My videos are far from perfect, but I keep saying to myself, "I will be better tomorrow than I am today", "they might not be perfect but they're done", and "Someone can be helped even in my imperfection", so I push past the desire to be perfect. Hopefully, my imperfect videos can encourage you.

My challenge is Youtube. What challenge will you take on? Leave your comments below.

Hey, Tiffany
I'm answering your comment from yesterday, here :)
No, I'm not joking, I'm all in for this challenge. Mine will have to be a smaller one though. Not sure if I'll be able to write a blog post a day for the blog here.
However, one post but for my site and one video (or more, with a bit of effort) per day for YT should be doable. :)

Best of luck :)
Alenka

Super cool! Send it to me when you do it!

I've done it, but it won't let me post my YT link here in comments (or I'm doing something wrong).

Yay! I'm so proud of you and happy to have a partner on this.

Awesome goals! I didn't even consider YouTube as one of my personal challenges. To me, it's all a challenge! These are very inspiring words. And I appreciate them so much! I'm looking forward to testing out the YouTube part of it, too.
Thank you!

Yes, do it! It's less competition there than Google SERPS and a huge demand for answers and content. Join me on the challenge!

Hi,

These are great goals to shot for. Keep up the good work. I think you will see some great results to the effort you are doing. Thank you for sharing these goals with the WA community.

Best wishes,
George

Thanks George!

If I don't sign up for premium right away do I lose the ability to ask anyone questions along the way?

You lose the ability to private message.

so private message is this area or the area on the far right with the scrolling conversations

Neither. Private messaging is like in boxing. Usually for more personal conversations.

WOW! What a challenge you have embarked on! I love your energy and commitment - it is inspiring!

Please keep us updated on your progress, I am rooting for you!

Just getting content of ANY kind up everyday is my challenge...right about now is when self-doubt starts to creep in, just as the momentum starts, but this time feels different - I joined WA with a purpose and I still want to meet that goal! After reading your post (and the one from yesterday!) I want to push even harder!

Thank you so much for sharing!

Kindly,
Sara

Thanks for rooting for me! You can do this!
