Hello!

It's great to meet you. My name is Chase - I'm an entrepreneur, a professor of music at Saddleback College, an owner of multiple business (sole proprietorship and MusicalGrowth.com), and I'm coming up on my 1-yr anniversary here on WA!

My workaholic tendencies has led me to maintain two websites on WA (MusicalGrowth.com & WhoisChaseChandler.com), earn multiple degrees in music (Bachelors/Masters), compose an original 1-hr long operatic work, write a novel, and release two albums on Spotify. (https://open.spotify.com/album/7eGfYw0Fr93KFyZqOctlam)

One thing is for sure - I won't stop!

I am nowhere near perfect with my online business and look forward to many more years on WA. Thanks for dropping by! I look forward to hearing from you.

Success is very cumulative in nature. Every action you take will add up to a much greater success. I can tell you that when you earn your first money, it will all become very REAL and it will lead to much more success.

Personally it took me a couple of months to get there (to earn my first dime), but by month 6 I was earning a consistent income. That is likely what your journey will look like...stay persistent and ask for help when you need it. I am in your "corner" every step of the way Chase! :)

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Thanks so much for reaching out. And yes, I'm definitely having difficulty deciding. My interests (and expertise) is in music unfortunately, so every relatable niche I consider that has associated products ends up a dead end through Jaaxy (music theory, music composition, music education, etc.)

I really thought I found a niche - "meditation music" and products associated. Jaaxy deemed meditation music an opportunity gap, though products not so much. My idea was to draw traffic in through music inquiries and then have products intermingled.

I'm starting to doubt this niche though too even though Google trends showed interest in this topic increasing over the past 5yrs. I've even bought the website domain (MusicalGrowth.com) - but I'm thinking I need to stray away from "music" entirely!

Would love your thoughts on this.

I have a Masters in music and have had my own non-profit organization (conducting and writing contemporary music, hosting events and the like) that was successful for 2yrs but not profitable enough to continue. I'm a determined worker, but now I'm very weary of trying to sell in the wrong niche (due to experience being a musician/composer of 10+ years).

Any help or thoughts would be very much appreciated. Thank yoU!

Hey Chase-

The creative niches (music, art, movies, short stories, books, etc.) are always really easy to write about, but very hard to monetize. Focusing on meditation music could work since it's a bit more narrow. Your primary focus would have to be getting people over to Amazon and hoping they purchase a few things along the way.

However, I probably wouldn't work on that as my primary website. It could work as a hobby site that you build in your spare time and if traffic picks up, great! But I would try and something a little more product driven that people are willing to spend money in today.

Thank you for your opinion - I agree and will keep thinking about niches while learning the ropes with the niche I started on. Thanks!

Hey Chase and welcome to Wealthy Affiliate!

My name is Steve and I'm the owner of IveTriedThat. You signed up through me and I thought I'd tell you a little about myself. I joined Wealthy Affiliate back in 2009, over 7 years ago. I was looking to learn how to supplement my income through Internet Marketing and what I've found was so much more.

By 2010, I was working full-time from home. These days, ALL of my income comes from my ventures online. In fact, my wife just recently quit her job to start her own business as well. Internet Marketing and Wealthy Affiliate have provided us with amazing opportunities (we've bought a house, get to travel the world, and best of all, no longer spend time "going to work") and I'm incredibly thankful to the training, tools, and support here that made it all possible. :)

I'd love for you to see the same level of success. So, if you ever have any questions or need a hand with anything, do not hesitate to get in touch with me. I am here to help!

To get started, you should add a short description and upload a picture. Wealthy Affiliate is a community and having a profile and a picture will really help get you acquainted here.

Anyways, thought I would just introduce myself. If there's anything I can do for you Chase, just let me know!

Cheers!

Steve
