Ok, ok. I had to put the bait-y title with a money figure. Both as a cheap shot on my part and a lesson opportunity to you!

Titles are everything! And so is compelling language - in my opinion.

But ~

That's actually not why I'm writing this blog post. And the title is not misleading, it just infers that I made the money through affiliate means.

I did land a gig over $1,000 because of my website! Which I think is very important for me to share because this story could encourage a lot of you entrepreneurs out there to rethink your "online" strategies.

I was hired to produce a Chakra healing album set to release in June 2018!

I'm so, so very excited. Not just because I need the money, but also because I've found a new stream for income apart from my affiliate endeavors.

I've come to realize that this website I've built with almost 50 articles now not only offers a chance for exponential growth and passive income, but also validates me as a "professional" researcher.

My original strategy for growing my business through affiliate marketing was to create FREE meditation music that would lead listeners, or at least those who love the music enough, to click through to my website, thus stumbling upon interesting information found in 45+ articles!

Basically. I had a click thru strategy in place, where listeners of my free music would eventually find their way into buying a product after reading an article on the website.

While this may work ~ (I have yet to see sales in this way) ~

A big fan of my music contacted me asked for a specific chakra healing album (very much relating to my meditation music and yoga-inspired, health provoking website theme). And because I have this relatively successful "looking" website, my credibility as a music production artist and composer automatically soared.

My client was taken aback by the work I've done on my website and was compelled to hire me to create more music on her behalf.

I was delighted to say the least.

I hadn't thought of the website as a means for credibility as a musician. Interestingly enough, as a composer I might spend days on a single 5-min music composition with only a few people really understanding the time I invested.

BUT -

With a well put together website, many articles, and over an hour of FREE music ready to stream, people can relate more to the hours of work it took to make something like my website happen.

It's rather refreshing.

For my Master's degree in composition, I spent 3 months writing an hour opera with no one to take it serious enough to spend time reviewing the score and possibly paying for it to be performed.

But my website is different.

I've spent 3 months on my website and people are floored. WHY? Because they can relate to the amount of work it takes to create such a monstrous side-project like MusicalGrowth.com.

So for all you entrepreneurs out there, consider my story as a learning opportunity.

All the hard work you invest into a website here on WA can be a means for establishing credibility. And you all know sales people with credibility are unstoppable!

What's the moral of the story?

Well, I'll tell ya ~

Keep working hard, never stop. Because no matter what, hard work can be a resumé builder one way or another.

I may not have had my opera performed, but I can at least say that I've written an hour long opera with a score book of over 160 pages.

It's the same with my website.

I may have only made a few sales, but I can at least tell my clients that I have written almost 50 articles on relevant topics relating to yoga, meditation, and noninvasive medicine.

I'm so glad I haven't stopped working. And I'm so glad you haven't either.

So keep working hard!
